4 technical solutions: Skimmer, Infinity, Overflow and Miroir
Thinking about buying a pool and buying it is a huge step. And in this leap it is always important to get as much information as possible about the various pool techniques, construction, budgets, etc. The objective is to be able to be based on a weighted decision and discussed among those who will directly enjoy it.
It is not easy to choose a technique, because, on the one hand, it is not a specialist in swimming pool constructions, and on the other, because it already has an initial opinion, thanks to what it has been hearing from one another. However, in order not to make mistakes, you must take into account the budget you have, the type of technique you can choose and the maintenance costs.
In this article you will be able to know 4 types of techniques for installing a pool: the Skimmer, the Infinity, the Overflow and the Miroir pool.
The technical kit solutions
There were times when thinking about building a pool meant having a lot of troubles and headaches ahead of you. As in everything else in life, the techniques of swimming pool construction have also evolved. In Portugal, like all over the world, traditional swimming pools give way to the steel swimming pool kit, which means that all the material needed to install your swimming pool is taken to your home: steel structure + liner + equipment. You will only have to choose which technique suits you best, the one that best suits your budget. Let’s see!
4 options to choose from
You can choose from 4 kit models:
1 – Skimmer Pool
The Skimmer pool is the most traditional model of steel swimming pools. It consists of the following kit:
- Complete structure in STEELPRIME panels,
- Coating,
- Filtration Kit,
- Kit Bordadura Fabistone,
- Mounting Material
2 – Infinity Pool
This pool is known as Infinity pool or overflowing pool.
The kit consists of:
- Complete structure in STEELPRIME panels,
- Coating,
- Filtration Kit,
- Inlay Material,
- Finishing for transshipment and border.
3 – Overflow Pool
Due to a technological innovation that makes it possible to attach the liner and the steel gates, this pool has a water mirror that guarantees aesthetic beauty.

4 – Miroir Pool
The pool water line is at ground level, reflecting the sky, landscape and architectural details of the area surrounding this pool. The difference of this model for the Overflow model is that in the Miroir pool the overflow of the pool water is made subtly – through a small groove – by a natural stone (granite or marble)
The kit consists of:
- Complete structure in STEELPRIME panels,
- Coating,
- Filtration Kit,
- Mounting Material,
- Miroir gutter and in natural stone (granite or marble) coping.
The construction of a swimming pool should be considered a serious act that requires in-depth study and the search for a suitable and highly qualified professional. Avoid occasional artists, who know everything, and prefer companies that specialize in building pools, as these will give you assurances in terms of assistance whenever you need them.
Do not forget that all pools, whatever the technique you chose, will need at some point, small or large interventions over time. Try to be objective and realistic in choosing and evaluating companies and techniques. Do not forget that this is a personalized purchase because the pool is a product made especially for you, in the place you want (even though it is an industrialized concept).
It is also a long-term investment that deserves a great deal of thought in order to make the right choice.
